Ever since I planned my own Jewish wedding in 2005, I have been in love with all the emotions and traditions involved in the day. From the intimate moments of the bedecken room - that moment when the groom sees his bride in all her glowing glory, to that final smash of the glass under the chuppah, sealing the marriage in place and Aunty Gloria dancing the Hora in her sparkly dress.

I have worked at hundreds of Jewish weddings over the last 10 years; at incredible venues like The Grove, The Four Seasons Hampshire, Claridges and The Landmark, as well as some stunning marquees and gardens. I work closely with wedding planners and in-house event staff to ensure I know the best places to photograph my gorgeous couples and the best angles to catch all the action of the grand entrance and Israeli dancing.

Using the services of a Jewish wedding photographer means they understand the traditions and don't miss a shot.

Jewish weddings aren't like any other; they are fast-paced, jam-packed full of traditions and can be very emotional. You want to know you are in safe hands with someone who understands each tradition and is the right place at the right time. I can't tell you how many bruises I have had from getting in amongst the crowd during the Israeli dancing and how many times I have cried with the mother-of-the-bride as I capture her daughter walking around her fiancé under the chuppah.

Details are such an important part of your day and I ensure to capture every single one for you - including the food! When you have dreamt of your wedding and spent months planning matching Kippot, flowers and bridesmaid dresses, it's important that you have a little memento of all those decisions you have had to make. Emotions are even more important. Rest assured, I will be watching and recording every emotion pouring out of your friends and family as they celebrate with you.

I am quite shy by nature and my unobtrusive style of photography (often called ‘reportage’), will capture those ‘behind the scenes moments’ that mean so much – the bride getting ready, the groom enjoying his tisch, the guests arriving, the details of the bridesmaid’s posies, candid moments like the father-of-the-bride's face as he walks he down the aisle to the chuppah ….

I work closely with you long before the main event so that I can understand just what kind of photos you want. I take copious notes about the service, the venue, the flowers, the music, the bridal party – all the tiny little details that make up the day. Before I even set up my equipment I’ll have the timings mapped out, I’ll have liaised with the suppliers and the venue, and spoken to the rabbi to get their input.

About a week after the big day, I’ll send you a slideshow of the day’s highlights. Then about three weeks after the event I’ll send you a secure link to a private online gallery so you can relive the day in its entirety and share all the best moments with your guests. I can also provide a colour-coordinated printed proof album.
